Star Card

Well by the temperature today, Summer is here and that means ... days until Christmas!
So I have started with a patchwork inspired card and inside stamped using the new Stamp of the Month "Twinkle". It is a versatile set and is Cricut compatible if you wish not to fussy cut with your scissors.
I have incorporated new  papers "White Pines" which coordinate beautifully using back and front and Topiary and Cranberry Cardstock.

Christmas Wreath from the new CTMH Annual Inspirations launched this week.

Now that the Recipe book is live I am posting my take on the beautiful wreath on the Annual Inspirations. I made this before the Artistry cartridge and new colours had arrived for my Christmas in July Cricut Crops Project. The ladies and myself loved making these using Art Philosophy and Artiste carts. Colours are White Daisy, Ruby and Hollyhock with Fern leaves interchanged later. The frame wreath base came from Spotlight in last January sales and was covered with CTMH Burlap ribbon now discontinued but a great way to use it. Hot glue gun was invaluable to attach shapes to the fabric on the wreath.
I removed my photos as I don't have permission to post images of our little people on the web.

Easter Gift Bag using the Cricut Expression.
I had fun creating this decoration using American Crafts POW Gold Glitter Paper which is so smooth and no glitter ccame off on the blade or mat, Cartridges used were Gypsy Wanderings, Easter 2010, CTMH Artbooking, Artiste and Art Philosophy. The little ones loved that they could fit all their eggs and gifts in  it to take home at the end of the day.
I hope everyone has had a very Happy Easter.

TYPED NOTE – APRIL 2015 STAMP OF THE MONTH (S1504)

 Close to My Heart.

Today a square gate-fold card using this versatile stamp setwith CTMH Paper Fundamentals Basics Assortment (Z1939). These are fabulously embossed papers with similar printed design on the reverse side. I don't use them nearly enough.
The finger was fussy cut and placed on an Adhesive Spring (Z1725) for fun.
Thank you Elona Lundy for this inspiration at Fun Day.

Typed Note – April 2015 Stamp of the Month

 Close to My Heart.

No fooling even though it will be 1st April very soon. I have had fun making a more male oriented Accordion Card using Flaxen and White Daisy cardstock and the CTMH My Acrylix Urban Alphabet Stamp Set (D1507).. However it could easily be changed to a more feminine card with a colour and ribbon change and floral embellishments. Completed Card measures 4"x 2.5".

It is a great D Size stamp set which Australian customers can purchase from me for only $5.00 with a qualifying $75.00 catalogue order placed either personally with me or through shopping online with me here or by clicking on one of the picture links at the side. You may also purchase it for $27.00 but in April only.

Decorate a Gift Bag.
Last night at Cricut Crop the project was to use Close to My Heart Cartridges Artbooking and Artiste
and embellish a white gift bag. It was just another form of making a card or a scrapbook page on a large flat surface. I had a lovely time trying out bows. Quite pleased with the result.

Had a great time on Monday sharing how to make the great pop-up bouquet inside the card. I was challenged to do it using the Cricut and one of the Close To My Heart cartridges. I chose Art Philosophy for the flowers and it worked well.

18th March 2015
Hi there my crafting friends. A new era in crafting has begun for me with the arrival of my Cricut Explore. I have been playing and saving designs in Cricut Design Space and now I am cutting. It is a whole new headspace for me but I am enjoying it. The Explore cuts so quietly and is good on intricate cuts. I made a wedding card tonight and am happy with it as a first "solo" project.

Happy crafting
