My Pop up Box Card
Thank you Narelle Darley for sharing your CCR file with me. It made it very easy to assemble.I love the score then cut feature. You can download her file here

Of course it then took half a day to workout what I was going to decorate it with and cut the shapes from quite a few Cricut cartridges: Joys of the Season, Christmas Cheer, Create a Critter 2 and Christmas. Quite pleased with the result and want to try a few more. Hope you like it as much as the great ladies in my Thursday class. All CTMH cardstock.

Origami Christmas Decoration

I have had so much fun making these with all my groups. Thank you Julie Makela for showing me how to make these.

They only need a 6 inch square of quality paper. Very economical if you use those 6 inch pads in your stash. Have fun.
You can download my instructions for this here

Well I have been away a long time but back to crafting now. I have been preparing for CTMH Training on the wonderful new Cricut Cartridge Collection "Artfully Sent". It has so much to offer.

Christmas is just around the corner and I have had classes on projects and cards as well as the regular Cricut Crops. I just love the preparation for Christmas and really have to get into making the Christmas Cakes and Puddings. Some travel has put me behind but I have the fruits and must procrastinate no longer.

Watch this space please.

I call this one a Sara Lee Card - layer upon layer upon layer. A little peek for you from the new CTMH Annual Inspirations 2014-2015. Current products are Colonial White cardstock, Paper Fundamentals Basics Assortment, Kraft Cardstock, Black cardstock and a new stamp set. So perfect for the special men in your family at any time of the year and for Father's Day coming soon.

Now I am taking a little break from blogging and I'll be back with more after 7th August 2014.
Happy Crafting.

Baby Girl Building Block Card

I saw this technique on Splitcoaststampers and have wanted to try it for a while. It was very easy with the CTMH Paper trimmer and scorer.
I used Chantilly and Sophia B&T Papers from CTMH and Sophia Stickese Embellishments with Hollyhock and White Daisy cardstock.

Hope the recipient loves it as much as their little baby.

Tried paper pleating with CTMH Chantilly B&T Papers, Buttercup and Pear cardstock and My Acrylix Stamp sets B1423 Happy Easter and C1536 Happy Thoughts with Cotton Candy Ink Pad. Also used the Scallop Punch.

Today I played with Sunburst idea ready for my card class tomorrow. First I used Jubilee Paper scraps and the Stamp of the Month for July "Circus Alphabet". I can see me using this more over the coming weeks as I haven't even looked at the lower case yet. It is going to be a fabulous set.

Then I used wider strips of Free To Be Me Paper Pack and combined the burst with a stamp from "Kaboom", the Stamp of the Month for June. On both cards I used CTMH Shimmer trim. It is adhesive backed and so easy to use.

From 1st August there will be a whole new Close to my Heart Inspiration Book with all new paper sets so I am using up lots of scraps at the moment.

Big busy time at the Papercraft Expo in Brisbane last weekend. Three days non-stop and doing demos on Monday using Heartfelt Creations dies, Twinkling H2O's and amazingly beautiful Starburst Sprays from Lindy's Stamp Gang. So much fun and showing these products to many lovely crafters.

Then there has been the possum that died in my utility space in the bathroom. How it got there I don't know but Pepe Le Phew! It has been awful. Thanks to Big Brother Good Samaritan who found it, my home  is now bearable and disinfected.

Some crafting with Close To My Heart Ariana Papers. I covered a DVD case from Darkroom Door and put a pocket and a notebook and decorated pen in. I plan to use it in the car so I always have a notebook and pencil and my Business Cards. Would also be a great gift.

Wednesday, 4 June 2014

Last night I tried out the Northern Lights technique of inking a background. Very pleased with the result even though I have never seen the Aurora Borealis or the Aurora Australis. I used the Close to my Heart mini pigment inks as I like the intensity and sponge daubers. With pigment ink the daubers stay moist for a long time so you don't have to keep putting them on the ink pad. Cardstock used Outdoor Denim and Pacifica.
Stamp set used was Close to my Heart Country Born (D1543)

Interesting time making a Double Pocket-fold Card from a sheet of Close To My Heart Chantilly Paper cut to A4 size. The beautiful stamp set Paper Doll (D1547) was used. I used Jac paper to attach the doll shape to acetate for strength and coloured it with Copic Markers. The clothing I stamped and left for the recipient to colour herself and then cut out to play with them. I think this would be fun for a party activity for little girls. Thanks Fay Fraser for this idea. Sentiment stamps used were Lots of Love - Occasions (A1151) All stamping done with Memento Ink.

Triple Layered card with stamping using the Close To My Heart Stamp of the Month for June "Kaboom". Only $5 with qualifying purchase. Use the Shop with me button if interested. Thank you Desleigh for the idea.

Sunday, 1 June 2014

A quick card using Free to be Me paper from Close To My Heart. The gold spot vellum was fun to work with.

Saturday, 31 May 2014

Fun workshop today making Rosette Christmas Trees. Took a lot longer than I thought as time was needed for inking and glue drying. Happy with the result. Used all three CTMH Cricut Cartridges.

Sharon's Creation for her Aunt's celebration using Chantilly Papers looks fabulous.

Desleigh's tree using Jubilee papers and Kraft Card has a beautiful Autumnal or Thanksgiving look

Thank you ladies for allowing me to share your creations.

Today it's a Serviette Fold Card with a Belly Band. I used the Close to my Heart My Reflections Jubilee Paper Pack (X7181B) because the colours are sooo me! This fold just showcased the paper for me. Also used Scallop Border Punch (Z1311) on Colonial White cardstock inner, Pacifica feature on the band and around the edge of the whole piece of paper.

Not seeing double today - but triple! Yes it is a Triple Easel card with gorgeous SOTM Stamp Set from CTMH March - Happy Place.
First Using Jubilee Papers.

Second one using Balloon Ride papers.

Of course they fold flat for placing in the envelope. Such fun colouring these with my Copic Markers.

Then from an idea shown to me by Susan Wilmot- another triple card but it is a Waterfall Card. It was really easy and to make it work just grab the string and pull towards you. My class loved making these yesterday
We used CTMH Sarita papers.and Sky Blue cardstock.Totally different colour mix.

.

Happy Mother's day this Sunday to all Mums.
